Mommy and Baby Classes - Guelph

Here at Fit & Eats our aim is to make exercise as accessible and enjoyable as possible. When you are a mom or mama to be, exercise can be a little daunting. Let me take the challenge out of the equation  so you can focus on being the best mama you can be!

There are some many changes the the body goes through when carrying a baby to term and delivering a baby whether is be via c-section or vaginal delivery. Regular fitness classes do not account for these changes and assume every one is the same. It is my hope to make your pregnancy workouts and your return to fitness as smooth as possible. Try out some of our mommy and baby fitness classes or if you want a more personal approach, look in to personal training.

All classes are currently suspended until the spring. Keep checking in with me (LUCY) if you are interested. I can also provide online support if needed.

Mommy & Baby Fitness Class - 1hr

Fit & Eats host some great mommy and baby fitness sessions here in Guelph, they are a safe way to re-introduce yourself to fitness and exercise whilst socializing with fellow mamas. These mommy and baby fitness classes aren't your regular classes, they are designed specifically for new moms and women who suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction such as diseases recti, incontinence and prolapse. All exercises are C-Section safe, diastasis recti safe and adaptable for women who can handle a little bit more.  

I advise you ALL regardless of if you join or not to seek out a pelvic floor physiotherapist and get assessed.

What can you expect?

  • Core rehabilitation stretches/exercises

  • Diastasis recti and prolapse safe exercises

  • Progressions as you get stronger and begin to recover

  • Tips and tricks for the postpartum body in the new world of motherhood

  • A friendly environment to make new mama & baby friends

  • A collaborative approach to exercise, I will contact your physiotherapist to ensure what I plan is right for YOU

Mommy & Baby Fitness Class.

The Class is designed to be able to accommodate different levels of fitness. Modifications are given to make an exercise suitable for you and your body. These classes are offered at 2 different locations depending on where we are in the year. The classes are ran out of Karma Yoga studio and The WOMB Guelph (sign up for The WOMB is through their website) - www.thewombguelph.ca

Come and get exercise with your littles in the sunshine. We will be focusing on strength based movements and a little bit of cardio with your babe in tow! Register for 6 weeks at a time, vacation times can be arranged if you have times you are away.

CrossFit Moms - @CrossFit 1827

Classes for CrossFit moms are held at CrossFit 1827 Guelph on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am ongoing. There is a rolling membership which can be cancelled at any time. There are options available for 1 class per week or 2 classes per week. Reach out to info@crossfit1827.com for information on joining (first class is free).

In-Home Personal Training

Are you a little confused about what you should be doing after you have given birth? Not sure if your old routine is causing you more harm than good? One-on-One personal training can take that guess work out of the equation.

Whether you are pregnant, just had a baby or are a seasoned mama bear I can help. Children are welcome to join in so there is no need to worry about day care.

Online Personal Training

Online programs are great if you don't have a clue where to start but you have the motivation to do it alone. They can be tailored to your needs.

Whether you are pregnant, newly postpartum or a seasoned mom, online programming can work for you.

Follow specific programming designed just for you. This option includes unlimited email help and a weekly phone call to ensure you understand the exercises given.
